Aspartame Side Effects

According to the FDA, aspartame shouldn’t cause any side effects when consumed no more than the acceptable daily intake of 50mg/kg bodyweight.

In Europe the acceptable daily intake of 40 mg/kg. When you know that a 12 ounce can of diet soda contains 180mg of aspartame, a European of 60 kg can safely drink 13 cans of diet soda.

Both the FDA and the FDA and National Cancer Institute have done multiple test to conclude that aspartame doesn’t cause cancer.

The most common side effects expressed by consumers are headaches and migraines. Again no scientific research was able to confirm these claims.

To be on the safe side: when you consume aspartame and arre susceptible for headaches, substitute aspartame in your diet with other natural or artificial sweeteners. If you continue to suffer from headaches, do go and see a doctor. If your headaches and migraines stop, then make sure that you continue to use any other sweeteners except aspartame.
